Mr. Fontenot, Miss Sykes plan Sept. 24 nuptials

The engagement of Miss Jennifer Crystal Sykes, daughter of Janet Wilson, a native of Roland Heights, California and resdient of Houston, Texas, to Mr. McCordney James Fontenot, the son of Harriet Fontenot Pratzer and Marcus Anderson, Sr. of Ville Platte, has been announced by their parents.
The couple will exchange wedding vows at 5 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016, at St. John Baptist Church in Ville Platte.
Miss Sykes is the granddaughter of Kathleen and Ed Pipkin and the late James Wilson. She is a graduate of the University of Houston.
Mr. Fontenot is the grandson of the late Clarence Fontenot and Harriet Jack and the late James Anderson and Lillian Anderson
