Mr. Milliman, Miss Ortego plan December nuptials

The engagement of Miss Alanna Rae Ortego to Mr. Cody Lee Milliman, the son of Cynthia Milliman of Pottsville, Pennsylvania, and Michael Milliman of Bridgeport, West Virginia, has been announced by her parents, Gary and Carlene Ortego of Ville Platte.
The couple will exchange wedding vows Saturday, December 12, 2015, during a 3:30 p.m. ceremony at Nottoway Plantation in White Castle.
Miss Ortego, whose mother is the former Carlene Fontenot of Ville Platte, is the granddaughter of the late Kage and Adeline Fontenot and the late Annie and Edgar Ortego.
A 2009 graduate of Westminster Christian Academy in Opelousas, she received a degree in kinesiology from LSU in 2013 and a Masters of Occupational Therapy degree from the LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport in 2015. She is currently employed with Oschners Hospital in New Orleans.
Mr. Milliman’s mother is the former Cynthia Savelle of Hope Hull, Alabama. He is the grandson of James Savelle Sr., the late Patricia Savelle, Robert Milliman and the late Joyce Milliman.
A 2007 graduate of Pottsville High School in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, he received degrees in biochemistry and microbiology from LSU in 2011. He is currently a third year medical student at the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.
