Mr. Montelaro, Miss Fontenot united in holy matrimony
Mr. and Mrs. Salvadore Ricardo Montelaro
Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte provided the setting for a lovely 6:30 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, May 2, 2015, uniting Miss Sarah Nicole Fontenot and Mr. Salvadore Ricardo Montelaro in holy matrimony, with Father Mitchell Guidry officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Barry and Stephanie Fontenot of Ville Platte. The groom is the son of Kirk and Jahn Montelaro of Mamou.
The church was beautifully decorated with lanterns accented with Tiffany blue ribbon and white lily of the valley flowers lining the pews.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was radiant in her Casablanca Bridal imperial satin gown. She wore a matching veil and diamond and pearl earrings to complete her attire.
The bride carried a bouquet of white hydrangea, garden roses, hypericum, peonies and mini calla lilies.
Danyelle Fontenot of Ville Platte and Olivia Blanchet of Carencro served as maids of honor for the special occasion. They each wore floor-length gowns of Tiffany blue chiffon and carried bouquets of coral, green and white peonies.
Bridesmaids were Gianna Montelaro and Brittanie Wagnon, both of Baton Rouge, Courtni Bauer of Texas, Bianca Olivier of Eunice, Caitlin Bebee of Monterey and Bethany Sonnier of Georgia. They were attired identically to the maids of honor.
Thomas Vidrine and Kip Montelaro, both of Mamou, served as best men for the evening ceremony.
Groomsmen were Brennan Flick of Monroe, Clay Chapman and Ryan Haller, both of Lake Charles, Camron Fontenot of Ville Platte and Jed Dupuis and Brent Berzas, both of Mamou.
Aislinn Montelaro served as junior bridesmaid and Jack Montelaro served as junior groomsman.
Flower girls were Maria Montelaro and Linden Olivier; and ring bearer was Jackson Olivier.
Ushers were Luke Fontenot, Alex Vidrine, Darren Ducote, Keith Manuel and Kyle King.
Readers were Dr. Tommy Fontenot, Shaunda Bedel, Allie Miller and Samantha Schultz.
Rose bearer was Raylee Jo Young.
Offertory gifts were presented by Darren and Karen Vidrine.
Program distributors were Lena and Mattie Johnson.
For her daughter’s special day, the bride’s mother selected a champagne-colored, floor-length gown accented with pearls and lace.
The groom’s mother selected a rose coral-colored, floor-length gown accented with pearls and a lace jacket.
A reception followed at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Ville Platte. The hall was draped with white lights and white tulle for an elegant look. The guest tables were accented with candles and lanterns.
Following a wedding trip to the Paws Up Resort in Greenough, Montana, the couple has made their home in Mamou.
