Mr. Norman, Miss Bertrand to wed in June ceremony

The engagement of Miss Laura Beth Bertrand to Mr. Chad Justin Norman, the son of Kevin and Rebecca Norman of Boyce and Tonya Yelverton of Hineston, has been announced by her parents, Ted and Pam Bertrand of L’anse Gris.
The couple will exchange wedding vows Saturday, June 27, 2015, during a 4 p.m. ceremony at First Baptist Church in Oakdale.
Miss Bertrand, whose mother is the former Pam Fontenot of L’anse Gris, is the granddaughter of Lonia Fontenot of L’anse Gris, the late Floisey Fontenot, Emily Bertrand of Ville Platte and the late Albert Bertrand.
A graduate of Mamou High School, she received a bachelor’s degree in French and is currently enrolled in the MAT program at Louisiana College in Pineville. She is currently employed as a French teacher with Mamou High School.
Mr. Norman is the grandson of A.J. and Lou Norman, the late Virginia Norman and Roger and Shirley Yelverton.
A graduate of Oak Hill High School in Hineston, he is currently employed as a salesman with Lamar Advertising in Alexandria.
