Mr. Walsh, Miss Fontenot plan November nuptials

St. George Island beach in Florida provided the setting for a lovely afternoon ceremony on Saturday, November 21, 2015, uniting Miss Brooke Marie Fontenot and Mr. Richard Clinton Walsh in holy matrimony, with Minister Matt Stone officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Tony and Beth Fontenot of Natchitoches. The groom is the son of Garry and Carol Walsh of Zwolle.
The beach was beautifully decorated with a four-poled hoopa enhanced with white sheer material and a fresh flower spray in soft colors of peach, white, ivory and accent greens. The aisle was lined with lanterns hanging from shepherds hooks. The music was provided by guitarist Carol Harris.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was radiant in her ivory-colored, slimline, lace-covered gown featuring delicate cap-sleeves and stunning full sheer lace back. The gown was accented with a chapel-length veil embellished with lace and pearls around the edges.
The bride carried a bouquet of ivory roses, white spider mums, soft peach stock and wax flowers wrapped with burlap and lace. Her mother’s rosary was wrapped around the bouquet stems.
Kelsey Townson of Natchitoches served as maid of honor for the special occasion. She wore a navy blue, sleeveless, floor-length gown and carried a bouquet similar to the bride’s.
Garrett Walsh III of Zwolle served his brother as best man for the sunset ceremony.
In keeping with tradition, the bride’s dress was new, the garter was blue, the rosary was borrowed and the silver six-pence in her shoe was old.
For her daughter’s special day, the bride’s mother selected an orchid-colored, 3/4 sleeves, floor-length chiffon skirt accented with silver sequined lace bodice. Her attire was accented with silver jewelry and accessories.
The groom’s mother selected a floor-length, royal blue, 3/4 sleeve jacket dress. Accessories included a silver and pearl necklace given to her by her new daughter-in-law.
A reception followed at the Camellia Gardens and Hall in Apalachicola, Florida. It was a quiet, intimate outdoor garden setting with tables beautifully decorated with fresh flowers and tables pieces, burlap runner and mercury glass candle light.
Following a wedding trip to Breckenridge, Colorado, the couple has made their home in Natchitoches.
