Mr. West, Miss Atkinson united in holy matrimony

Southern Forest Heritage Museum in Long Leaf provided the setting for a lovely afternoon ceremony on Saturday, June 4, 2016 uniting Miss Brittany Atkinson and Mr. Aaron Williams West in holy matrimony, with Pastor Keith Sheridan officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Scott and Paulette Atkinson of Glenmora. The groom is the son of Quint and Roxane West of Pine Prairie.
The venue was beautifully decorated with tea lights hanging from the ceiling, burlap and wooden accents and ferns.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was radiant in her white strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline and a tulle, floor-length bottom. The bride completed her wedding day look with a satin belt and a flower in her elegant up-do. The bride carried a bouquet of coral and white roses and baby’s breath.
The bride’s mother wore a champagne-colored chiffon, knee-length dress with a beaded bodice.
The groom’s mother wore a knee-length pink silk dress with a pleated skirt and rhinestones on the collar.
Abby Anderson of Glenmora served as maid of honor for the special occasion.
Bridesmaids were Carrie Willis, of Elizabeth, Jamie Eaves, Brandi Thomas, Carliss King, all of Glenmora, Elizabeth West and Lynee West, both of Pine Prairie
All of the bridesmaids wore pink chiffon, strapless knee-length dresses with a sweetheart neckline.
Eliott West of Pine Prairie served his brother as best man for the special occasion.
Groomsmen were Rodney “Bubba” Hebert, of Vidrine, Dylan Manuel, of St. Landry, Colton Chaddrick, of Turkey Creek, Blaine Beene and Duggie Theriot, both of Pine Prairie, Austin Atkinson, of Glenmora, and Hunter Anderon, of Glenmora.
Flower girl was Halli Willis. Ring bearer was Jalan Willis.
A reception followed at the museum. The location was beautifully decorated with antique decor from a sawmill.
The bride’s table was decorated with ferns and a shabby chic decor. The groom’s table was decorated with a baseball theme.
Following a wedding trip to Freeport, Bahamas the couple has made their home in Glenmora.
