Evangelizing through nature

Christians are called by God to spread the good news of the Gospels. This process called evangelization has taken many forms throughout the life of the Church. A local author has found a new avenue of this through a children’s book.

Voisins celebrate 50 years

Carmen and Everett Voisin of Milton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 22, 2017.
Carmen, the former Carmen Smith of Ville Platte, and Everett were married in 1967 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Fr. Joseph Brennan officiated the ceremony.

Evangeline Parish was again well represented at LSU in Baton Rouge for the 103rd Annual 4-H University. Thirty-four students from the parish went in all, and 14 came back placing at the state level in their competitions.
