A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church for Milo Addison Nickel, Sr., 85, who passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. prior to the services.

MAMOU, LA – The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s assistance in locating a 3 year old female toddler identified as Sophia Marie Sidwell (DOB 6/4/14).

Evangeline Parish is starting a French Immersion Program for grades Kindergarten through first at Ville Platte Elementary and Mamou Elementary. CODOFIL has recruited three of these teachers from France and are expected to arrive within the next two weeks.
