ELTON -- It has been a tale of two seasons for the Basile Bearcats.
After starting the year at 1-3, Basile had reeled off two wins in a row and was looking to make it three in a row when they travelled down Highway 190 Thursday night to take on long time rival Elton High School.

PINE PRAIRIE -- With playoff implications on the line, the Pine Prairie Panthers are in a must win situation from here on out for the rest of the season.
The Panthers, the No. 24 seed coming into Friday night’s game needed a victory to keep those post-season hopes alive.

CROWLEY -- Ever since their big win over Port Barre three weeks ago, the Mamou Demons have not had any luck getting back in the win column this season.
That trend remained, as Mamou was outmanned once again in their 48-0 loss to the Crowley Gents here Friday night.
