The church pews of St. John Cathedral in Lafayette were filled Friday night with church goers who gathered to remember the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The annual Martin Luther King, Jr.

• John Jones,65, 124 E. Wilson St., Ville Platte, was arrested on January 6, 2016 for driving under suspension. Jones was released from jail on a $500.00 bond.

VILLE PLATTE — Ville Platte Christians will commemorate the 41st Anniversary of Roe v. Wade with the annual Pro-Life Walk from Our Lady Queen of All Saints to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on Sunday, Jan. 24.
