Ex-Mamou Police Chief sentenced to 12 months

WASHINGTON – The Justice Department and U.S. Attorney Stephanie A. Finley announced Thursday that former Mamou Police Chief Robert McGee was sentenced to one year and a day in prison for depriving an inmate at the Mamou jail of his federally protected rights.

Walmart closing Mamou location

MAMOU — Walmart anounced Friday it is closing the doors on 154 of its U.S. stores, including the Mamou store located at 1445 Old Hwy 13. The tentative date of closure is Jan. 28. which means that the Mamou store would have been open for one year and two weeks.
