PINE PRAIRIE - The Pine Prairie Village Council, during its December 10, regular meeting, unanimously adopted ordinances to amend the 2015 fiscal year budget and accept the projected 2016 fiscal year budget.
In other business, the council:

The Evangeline Parish School Board elected its board president, vice president, and executive committee at its Wednesday night meeting. By the end of electing board members to fill these positions, not all board members were satisfied.

After having been accused of playing a part in the burning of the Rendezvous Dinner Club, the former owner of the restaurant John Deville finally had his day in court.

Following a public hearing at which no one gave any testimony, the Ville Platte City Council unanimously agreed to give pay increases to itself and Mayor Jennifer Vidrine.
Starting in January, the Council’s salary will increase 14 per cent, going from $600 to $700 per month.
