On Thursday, Dejuan M. Guillory entered a best interest plea, which is a plea where the defendant maintains his innocence but concedes because they feel they would likely be convicted if the case goes to trial, for criminal damage to property valued at $50,000 or more.

Ville Platte City Hall, located in the old American Security Bank on Main Street, is all decked out for the Christmas season.
The display includes 50 individually decorated trees, 22 reindeer, 150 poinsettias and more than 20,000 lights.

BUNKIE - The Ville Platte High Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs earned a split decision here Friday night, as the Bulldogs blasted the Panthers 76-49 and the Lady Bulldogs fell to the Lady Panthers 72-67.
