Jermaine Tezeno had to get payback.
The Grambling State graduate, Class of 1999, woke up one morning to find a Southern University sign in his yard. Tezeno waited to retaliate until after the two schools met that year in the annual Bayou Classic in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Ronnie Arnaud addressed the Ville Platte Chamber of Commerce at the group’s monthly meeting on Wednesday.
The owner and operator of Krazy Cajun Cafe in Mamou and Ronnie’s Cajun Cafe in Eunice is opening up a new restaurant on Main Street in Ville Platte, called Allon Manger.

In early August, a six person jury found Cody K. Fontenot guilty as charged on one count of simple burglary and one count of theft of a motor vehicle with a value of $1,500.00 or more. On Thursday, a little more than three months after the guilty verdict, Fontenot appeared in court once again.

This Saturday Pine Prairie High alumni will return to their alma mater for the one night out of the year that is dedicated to providing PPHS graduates with the feeling of being proud of the place they call home.

After being postponed for three weeks, flooding, which is one of the seven evils of cotton, finally gave way so that a 2015 Louisiana Tournoi Champion could be crowned. The nail biter race made the wait well worth it.
