Al Davis, the former Oakland Raider owner, said it best when he said “Just win, baby”.
And, if Ville Platte High (5-4, 2-2) wishes to keep their playoff position, they would be wise to heed Mr. Davis’ sentiment. Ville Platte has made the playoffs in six of the last nine years.

Rotary District 6200 Governor Francis Nezianya of Zackary visited with Rotary Club members and spoke to the club at the November 1 meeting.
Nezianya said, “We work so hard every single year to set goals, and the two goals we work hard for each year are membership and foundation.”

VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for Roy “Bud” Allen Jr. were Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Bayou Chicot Methodist Church. Allen was laid to rest in the Vandenburg Cemetery in Bayou Chicot.

VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for Michael “Mike” Rene Mouton Sr. were held Tuesday, November 1, 2016 in the Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte with Pastor Kevin West officiating. Mouton was buried in the Vandenburg Cemetery in Bayou Chicot.

VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for Dudley Joseph Meyer, 85, were held Friday, October 28, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Fr. Mitch Guidry officiated.

The creepiest place to go this Halloween might just be Ville Platte City Hall.
On Monday, October 31st, the city hall will be transformed into a haunted house with ghosts hanging from the ceiling, spiderwebs all over, and witches tucked away in corners ready to scare visitors.
