Prejudice, in any form, is ugly. It isolates people and breeds bitterness and contempt. Misunderstandings arise, and prejudice taken to extremes can foster violence. We’ve all witnessed this recently.

Today we, like millions of others, will be watching the Super Bowl. Super Bowl Sunday is a big deal for many individuals, especially those on a pool. Good luck to all! February is a short, but very busy month. This year, Valentine’s Day and Mardi Gras are days apart.

As you study the Old Testament prophets, you find time and again that God demanded His people deal fairly with one another. They were not to cheat one another in business, but treat everyone equally. They were not to take advantage of one another’s circumstances to prosper.

In Exodus 17:8-16 KJV, it records the battle that Israel had with Amalek. During the course of the battle when Moses grew weary and lowered the rod that he held in his hand, Aaron and Hur would lift his hands and the battle would turn in favor of the Israelites.

January is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. This disease affects the brain, causing problems with memory, thinking and behavior. It is not a normal part of aging. Nerve cells in the brain die, making it difficult for brain signals to be transmitted properly.
