Mr. Vidrine, Miss Townsend plan Sept. 23 nuptials

The engagement of Miss Lacie Nicole Townsend, daughter of Glenn and Christina Townsend of Pine Prairie, to Mr. Jordan Cheyenne Vidrine, the son of Derick Vidrine of Kinder, and Gerald and Becky Nelson of Pine Praire has been announced by their parents.

Mamou council discusses the installation of water meters

New water and gas meters were discussed at the Mamou Town Council Wednesday night.
Mayor Ricky Fontenot announced to the council the status of a water loan. “We’re continuing our efforts with USDA in applying for our water loan to redo our water system,” he said.

A 4H Skeet Shoot and Project Expo will be held Saturday, September 30 at the Chauncey Pitre Barn on the Vidrine Road near Ville Platte to help defray expenses for the Evangeline Parish 4H Shooting Sports program.
