Police jury hears report on road improvement project

Road work is about to begin that is funded with a 2 percent tax approved by voters to pay for a 15-year bond issue.
The parish’s consulting engineer, Ronnie landreneau, said contracts for the work will be signed and certified by the end of this month.

The Ville Platte Police Department is looking for a runaway from the Gabriel Villa Apartment complex. Olshimer McCoy was last seen on Friday November 7, at approximately 7:30 in the evening. He is described as a black male, approximately 5’9.
