Drivers charged in head-on collision on Highway 10

A two-vehicle accident on Vidrine Road, just west of the flashing traffic lights in Vidrine, occurred shortly after 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 9. One of the drivers was charged with no seat belt and no driver’s license, and the other was charged with driving left of center.

Propane truck crashes on Whiteville Road

A Basile man was charged Monday with aggravated incest in St. Mary Parish after complaints were filed against him in August.

VPHS homecoming parade lineup set

The Ville Platte High School 2014 Homecoming Parade will be held Friday, October 10. The parade route begins at the corner of Main and Dupre streets, where Citizen’s Bank and Mikey’s Donuts are located.
The parade starts at 4 p.m.; line-up begins not before 3 p.m.

Police jury makes changes to policy on cooperative agreements
