MAMOU -- The Mamou Demons took another direct hit on the chin, as they fell to the Oberlin Tigers 25-0 here Friday night.
With the loss, Mamou is now 0-3 on the season, while Oberlin moves to 1-2. Mamou will host Pine Prairie in an inter-parish match-up this Friday.

PEARL RIVER -- It was a long ride home for the Pine Prairie Panthers, as they let an early lead slip away in a 21-6 loss to Pearl River on Friday night.

LAFAYETTE -- Despite more than 300 yards rushing, the Ville Platte Bulldogs dropped a heartbreaker to Lafayette Christian Academy here Friday night, 21-20, for their first loss of the season. Both teams are now 2-1 on the season.

VILLE PLATTE -- Sacred Heart’s Julien Vidrine had a career night, as he carried the ball four times for 208 yards and scored four touchdowns in the Trojan’s 53-21 win over Houma Christian here Friday night.

Improved play by Mamou this past week almost brought them over the losing hump, as they were within striking distance of East Beauregard in a 26-14 loss.

After a confidence building opening game win over Bunkie, the Pine Prairie Panthers reversed direction this past Friday as they fell to the Beau Chene Gators 29-0.

It has been a perfect start for Ville Platte this season, as they bulldozed their way to a 28-0 win over Basile this past Friday to run their record to 2-0.

If the Sacred Heart Trojans were trying to send a message to the rest of the football world, they are doing a darn good job of it.
