Investigation into EPSO theft reveals employee stole $13,000

The investigation into theft at the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office at the hands of former employee Bobbi Jo Fontenot was completed this week.
In a release from Evangeline Parish Sheriff Eddie Soileau, it was revealed that Bobbi Jo “stole in excess of $13,000.00.”

Former Basile officer arraigned on pending charges

Former Basile Police Officer and part-time Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Nicholas Richardson appeared before Judge Chuck West on Thursday for his arraignment after being arrested in May of this year for felony aggravated assault with a firearm, simple battery, and malfeasance in office.
