Pine Prairie falls 39-0 to Beau Chene

PINE PRAIRIE -- After a huge opening game win, the Pine Prairie Panthers were hoping to secure their second win of the season as they hosted Beau Chene here Friday night.
But, it was not meant to be as the Gators crawled away with an impressive 29-0 win over the Panthers.

Even though it is only the second game of the season, Friday night’s Ville Platte/Basile match-up is critical for both clubs. For Ville Platte, a win over the perennial powerhouse Bearcats would give them a 2-0 start for the first time in five years after defeating Mamou 28-0 last week.

BUNKIE-- Pine Prairie made history on Friday night when they rallied in the fourth quarter to defeat Bunkie 22-­3 in a non­district game.
It was the Panthers first ever opening day victory since the school started playing football in 2004.

VILLE PLATTE--- After falling behind 20-7 midway through the third quarter, the Sacred Heart Trojans rallied for a 34-26 season-opening victory over the Iota Bulldogs.
