Mamou Police Department arrests man for stealing, wrecking vehicle

In the Mamou Police Department’s attempt to stop the crime in their city, MPD has made a recent arrest of Bobby J. Thomas Jr. for unauthorized use of a movable, simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, criminal trespassing, and simple criminal damage to property.

At the opening of Pine Prairie’s council meeting last Thursday, the village’s mayor Terry Savant informed council members of updates that have been made recently.

Parish residents receive degrees from NSU, ULM

NATCHITOCHES — Northwestern State University awarded degrees to 910 graduates during Spring Commencement Exercises held May 6 in Prather Coliseum. Commencement speakers were Gov. John Bel Edwards and alumnus Dr. James L. Holly.
