Osteoporosis is also known as brittle bone disease. As bones become less dense with age, they become weakened and are more likely to break. A normal bone looks like a sponge. When the bone becomes less dense and more porous, the holes in the bone become larger.

Our king and queen (Andrus Chapman and Bobbie McCauley) represented Heritage Manor at a recent LNHA Region III Pageant in Abbeville. The pageant was hosted by Maison du Monde. Sixteen other area nursing homes competed in the event. McCauley placed second runner-up to the queen.

In Luke 19:28-40 KJV, we find that Jesus sent two of His disciples to find and untie a colt and to bring it to Him. We are not told which two disciples He sent, but we know that they were obedient to the Lord.

National Volunteer Week is the official time to recognize and celebrate the efforts of volunteers. Because the usual week falls on Holy Week before Easter, it was moved to an earlier date.

Accordiing to Psychologist Richard Wiseman, you can learn to be a better person by changing the way you think. This study found that unlucky people are more anxious and focus on small details of a situation. Luckier individuals are more laid back and open to opportunities when they occur.

If we looked only at the circumstances of our lives, we could find ourselves confused. Sometimes, it may seem that God isn’t fair in His treatment of His servants. Life is hard at best and sometimes it seems that God’s children carry a greater portion of the burden than others do.

Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, was born near the end of the fourth century in the area of what is now Wales. He was the son of a Catholic deacon and was 16 when he was kidnapped by a group of Irish priests. He was taken to Ireland and was a slave for a sheep farmer for six years.
