Funeral services will be held for Vanessa Dick, 26, of Ville Platte, at St. Peter Baptist Church in Point Blue at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 23. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

St. Jude Trail Ride on April 23

The 13th Annual St. Jude Trail Ride, sponsored by the Sheriff’s Mounted Posse of Evangeline Parish, will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 near 3375 Faubourg Road in Washington. The ride starts at 8:30 a.m. and cost $10, which includes a lunch. Proceeds go to St. Jude Hospital.
