A masterful win

MAMOU – The Mamou High Demons improved to 3-0 in District 4-2A play with an ever important 2-0 win over two-time defending state champion Kinder here Tuesday evening.
Mamou picked up a dominating performance on the hill from senior right-hander Dylan Duplechain to secure the win.

Late-inning rally from Kinder spells trouble for Mamou in 7-3 loss

MAMOU – An all too familiar opponent was the opponent here Tuesday, as the Mamou Lady Demons hosted the Kinder Lady Yellow Jackets in a District 4-2A battle.

Lady Panthers remain perfect; Panthers fall to Devils

The Pine Prairie Lady Panthers and Panthers took to the road on Tuesday to face off against district rival Port Barre.
The Lady Panthers received some clutch hitting from Sara Tate to pick up the win over the Lady Red Devils and remain undefeated on the season.

LeBas bill opens patient access for physical therapy treatments

Proposed legislation (HB 623) authored by Representative Bernard LeBas (D-Ville Platte), member of House Health and Welfare Committee, takes a critical step toward eliminating the referral requirement for Louisianans who choose to seek physical therapy treatment services.

Back in business

A little over one month ago, local funeral homes received a letter from the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office stating that the sheriff, as of April 1, 2016, “will no longer be in the funeral home escort business.” This issue, later on in March, was addressed at a meeting where funeral home owner
