Johnnie and Jeanette McMillen of L’anse Aux Pailles recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and vow renewal with a lovely reception at their home on October 30, 2015.
The couple was married on October 30, 1965, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Church Point.

Savoy Medical Center kicked off the holiday season with its annual lighing of the Christmas tree in the hospital’s lobby.Seen above, Santa and his elves were greeted by the large crowd gathered hoping to have a chance to visit with Santa and tell him their gift wishes.

Rita Rae Sanford (born May 9, 1928) and Ernest G. Ratcliff (born February 10, 1927) celebrated 70 years of marriage on September 15, 2015. Rita and Ernest first met at Ville Platte High School in 1942, when Rita was 14 and Ernest was 15.

Hidden Treasure Flea Market, located on Main Street, held its grand opening celebration on Tuesday, November 24.

The Mamou Rotary Club recently announced its business and residential yards of the season winners. The office of Sheila Gough, EA (enrolled agent), first two photos, was chosen as the business yard of the season.
