Menard eliminates Mamou with 5-0 win

ALEXANDRIA — A streaky season for the Mamou Demon baseball team came to an abrupt end Tuesday afternoon, as they fell to the Menard Eagles 5-0 in the bi-district round of the 2016 playoffs.
With the loss the Demons finish the year with a respectable 15-12 over all record.

Pine Prairie upsets De La Salle in first round of playoffs

If you ask the number 23 seeded Pine Prairie Panther baseball team, their first round 2-1 playoff win over the number seven seeded De La Salle Crusaders on Monday was no upset; they have been training for this all season long.

That adage held true here Monday afternoon, as the Sacred Heart Lady Trojans took sweet revenge on the Opelousas Catholic Lady Vikings in a 4-3 bi-district playoff win.

PINE PRAIRIE -- It was business as usual for the Pine Prairie Lady Panthers in their 6-0 first round playoff win over Berwick here Saturday evening.
With the win Pin Prairie now advances to the regional round of the playoffs and will host St. James on Saturday.
