The Pine Prairie Lady Panthers clinched a share of the District 5-3A title on Friday with a win over the Port Barre Lady Devils. Pine Prairie are co-champions along with Church Point after each team defeated each other during the district season.

Coming into the district season, the Sacred Heart Trojan baseball team knew that it was going to be playing in one of the most competitive districts in Class 2A with the likes of Opelousas Catholic and Notre Dame on tap in District 5-2A.

The Sacred Heart Trojan baseball team and the Lady Trojan softball team both took key losses this past week.
For the Trojans, a Thursday one-run loss to Notre Dame put Sacred Heart at 0-2 early in the district season.
