The 15th ranked Lady Trojans of Sacred Heart with an overall record of 12-8 looked to improve on their 0-3 record in district play as they hosted the 14th ranked Opelousas Catholic Lady Vikings.

A perfect season remained intact for the Pine Prairie Lady Panther softball team, as they easily handled Ville Platte on Wednesday afternoon, rolling past the Lady Bulldogs 17-0, behind Karli Ortego’s perfect game on the mound.

The Mamou Demon baseball team has found a groove this season and is poised to move forward into district competition and beyond.

MAMOU – The Mamou High Demons improved to 3-0 in District 4-2A play with an ever important 2-0 win over two-time defending state champion Kinder here Tuesday evening.
Mamou picked up a dominating performance on the hill from senior right-hander Dylan Duplechain to secure the win.

The Pine Prairie Lady Panthers and Panthers took to the road on Tuesday to face off against district rival Port Barre.
The Lady Panthers received some clutch hitting from Sara Tate to pick up the win over the Lady Red Devils and remain undefeated on the season.

EUNICE – What started out as a sun shiny afternoon became overcast in more ways that one for the Sacred Heart Trojans, as they allowed five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to fall to the St. Edmund Blue Jays 9-5 in a non-district contest here Wednesday.

The Eunice High Bobcats opened District 5-3A play on Tuesday with a 16-1 victory over the visiting Ville Platte High Bulldogs.

The Mamou Lady Demons picked up a big district win Wednesday afternoon when they secured a 4-1 victory over the Lake Arthur Lady Tigers.
With the win, Mamou moves to 5-9 on the season, but most importantly the Lady Demons are now 4-1 in District 4-2A.
