Several basketball players from across Evangeline Parish have been honored by being named to their respective all-district teams.
Starting in District 5-3A, both the Ville Platte Bulldogs and the Lady Bulldogs were able to get players placed on the first team.

VILLE PLATTE-- In what would turn out to be a wild finish, the Sacred Heart Trojans scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, but fell short of overtaking the Breaux Bridge Tigers in a 4-3 non-district loss here on Monday.

The softball and baseball season have just begun to heat up and teams from across the parish are trying to grind out wins for those very important power points.
On Monday a trio of parish teams parish teams were on the diamond to take on opponents in non-district contests.

The Mamou Lady Demons will host thier annual high school softball tournament this upcoming weekend beginning tomorrow and running through Saturday.
The field consists of several varsity and junior varsity teams from around the area.

The Eunice High Bobcats used a four-run third inning to chase Mamou High starting pitcher Dylan Duplechain from the mound on their way to a 7-3 victory over the Green Demons in baseball action Tuesday night at Bobcat Field.
