The 2016 softball season is just barely a week old and already the Pine Prairie Lady Panthers are showing signs of another impressive season.
Pine Prairie posted another huge win Monday, as the Lady Panthers strolled away with an 9-3 win over Bunkie High in a non-district contest.

For the Mamou Lady Demons the end came too soon, as they fell 81-43 in the quarterfinals to the No. 1 ranked team in Class 2A, North Cadddo Thursday night.

In a rematch of the 2015 softball playoffs, Sacred Heart of Ville Platte spoiled St. Edmund’s season opener as the Lady Trojans cruised to a 17-2 mercy-rule win over the Lady Jays Wednesday in Eunice.

MAMOU – If patience is a virtue, then the Mamou Lady Demons are surely a virtuous group.
The Lady Demons used a 16-point fourth quarter run to pull away from the Episcopal Lady Knights and take a 44-34 regional playoff win here Monday night.
