Tournoi qualification run planned for September 20

Tournoi qualifications for this year’s running of the Tournoi, which is scheduled Sunday, October 25, during Cotton festivities, will be Sunday, September 20, at 2 p.m. at the Industrial Park, which is located directly behind the National Guard building.

Employee and Resident of the Month announced

Maranda Ledet, left photo, was named Employee of the Month for September at Heritage Manor, and Bobbie McCauley, right photo, was named Resident of the Month. Ledet has been employed as an LPN with the facility for six years and enjoys her duties as MDS coordinator. She has three children.

Evangeline Parish 4-H kicks off with new school year

The beginning of the new school year brings many opportunities for students through the 4-H program. This year could be one of your best years in school if you decide to join a 4-H club. 4-H has something for everyone.

LA Cotton Festival t-shirts available

Evangeline Parish students attend 4-H University

“Rockin’ and Rollin’ to Success” was the theme of the 101st Annual 4-H University held on the Louisiana State University campus in Baton Rouge June 23 - 26, 2015. Thirty-five 4-H’ers from Evangeline Parish, shown above, participated this year.

Heritage Manor raffle winners and casino trip

Richard and Mandi Young were the first place raffle winners of Heritage Manor’s recent raffle to benefit the annual resident casino outing. Cathy Jason was the second place winner. Residents and staff of Heritage Manor then enjoyed their annual trip to a local casino on August 25.
