Persons found damaging political signs could face a fine and up to two years in prison, according to District Attorney Brent Coreil.

MAMOU - The Mamou Fire District recently held its annual water shuttle demonstration. The fire district is mandated to recertify once each year. This year, the evaluator for the demonstration was District Chief Dwayne Thieve of the Richard Fire District.

St. Martinville –The City Council Monday night opted to the property tax rate where it is and collect an additional $9,000 and as a result of property values going up.

The addition of lime to neutralize soil acidity may be required on pastures before grazing forage will be able to benefit from fertilizer, according to LSU AgCenter soil scientist J. Stevens.
