Trash vote not likely to be on October ballot

If the St. Landry Parish Council heeds its lawyer’s advice, there will be no Oct. 4 referendum on out-of-parish garbage.

Asst. DA Andrea L. West has advised council members that an Attorney General’s opinion says non-binding straw votes cannot be on an election ballot.
