CROWLEY – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2008 at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church for Estelle Adams, 83, who died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Southwind Nursing Home.

RAYNE – A planned new I-10 exit in East Rayne, which Rayne Mayor Jim Petitjean was hoping would bring new business to his city, may have hit a snag. Petitjean was looking for money to build the new exit which will be built near the proposed Frogland Water Park.

CROWLEY – Qualifying continues for the upcoming election which will be held October 4, 2008. Several local and parish positions will be up for grabs as candidates have until this Friday, July 11, at 5 p.m. to qualify for the office they are seeking.

Clark R. Morris, 73, of Eunice died Thursday, July 10, 2008, at Oak Lane Nursing Home in Eunice, La. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements will be under direction of Quirk & Son.
