Ville Platte native and former Assistant Baseball Coach Waskyla “Trevas” Cullivan has been named interim head baseball coach following the resignation of former head coach Michael Robertson.

The Ville Platte Police Department responded to a total of 826 complaints for the month of May, of which 154 required reports, according to Police Chief Neal Lartigue.

On June 13, four Ville Platte Probation and Parole officers were sworn in as special deputy U.S. Marshals at the federal courthouse building in Lafayette for Operation Falcon.

MAMOU - Mamou Police arrested and charged one individual with attempted second-degree battery June 24, after he allegedly attempted to use his vehicle as a weapon against his cousin.
