CROWLEY – Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon was sworn in for his second term Friday afternoon during a ceremony at the Acadia Parish courthouse.

CROWLEY – Leemya Mouton, Sr., 73, died Saturday, June 14, 2008 at his residence.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilturner Funeral Home of Crowley.

JENNINGS – Mr. Milton R. Lege, 73, died at his home in Austin, Texas on Sunday, April 20, 2008.

No services will be held.

A gathering of family and friends for a celebration of Milton’s life was planned.

LAFAYETTE – Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Lisa Maria Truax, 51, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at her residence in Lafayette.
