EUNICE–Funeral services was at 2:00pm on Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice for Mr. Kenneth Prudhomme, 58, a resident of Mamou who passed away on June 14, 2008 at the Eunice Extended Care. Burial followed in the Baptist Cemetery in Basile.

EMERALD COAST . . .

I’m writing most of this week’s column from Florida’s “Emerald Coast,” more commonly known back in Louisiana as the Cajun Riviera.

Now that Senator Barack Obama has become the Democrats’ nominee for President of the United States, to the cheers of the media at home and abroad, he has written a letter to the Secretary of Defense, in a tone as if he is already President, addressing one of his subordinates.

The letter ends: “I look forward to your swift response.”

The U.S. Senate wisely decided recently not to bring a very controversial bill, the Climate Security Act, to a floor vote.

Where is justice for murdered family member?
