Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanell “JiJin” Lavigne Arvie will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at St. John Baptist Church with Rev. Freddie Jack officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.

VILLE PLATTE - Mr. Herman Wayne Ortego, 66, a resident of Ville Platte passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at 2:00 PM in St. Mary Mother of the Church Catholic Church in Lafayette for Mary Lafleur Thompson, 84, who died on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette surrounded by her family.

Charity Fontenot left this world behind and joined the angels in Heaven on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 10:15 PM at the age of 37.

Bruce Guillory, longtime resident of Mamou, La, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2017. He was born Ocotber 6, 1923, the son of A.V. “Black” and Evelyn Guillory. He grew up in Pine Point, LA and attended Louisiana State University prior to enlisting in the US Navy.

A Mass of Christian Burial were for Lucille Soileau Guillory, age 88, who passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Cleveland Health Care Center in Cleveland, TX, on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Interment followed in Ardoin Cemetery in Easton.
