CROWLEY – The Crowley Main Street Program will hold a workshop on Wednesday, June 1 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and continue on

Andre’ Trahan, son of Judge John and M’elise Trahan of Crowley, a senior at Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish, will join
a select group of students representing their schools, communities, and country as People to People student leaders.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Vincent Funeral Home for Cecilie Desormeaux, 88, who died June 6, 2008.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life Olita Duplantis Lemaire, 92, who died June 9, 2008 at Maison du Monde Living Center.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 9, 2008, at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Theresa Catholic Church honoring the life of Frank Troy Arnold, Sr., 64 who died June 6, 2008, at Abbeville General Hospital.

He was laid to rest in St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery.

Erath – A Memorial Service for Joseph Ronnie Broussard, 61, will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Faith Cathedral with Bishop Drew and Senior Pastor Wanda Rousse officiating.

The next time a school is going to take its students on a field trip that is not school required, the Vermilion Parish School Board voted to charge the school for the amount of diesel it uses.
