Smoking may be on council agenda

Alderwoman Marguerite Fruge-Simpson said at Thursday’s City Council agenda-setting meeting she wanted discussion of smoking in public places and public vehicles on the program for the Tuesday, June 10, meeting.

Wedding vows exchanged

Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte provided the setting for a lovely 6:30 p.m. ceremony April 12, uniting Miss Brittany Michelle Soileau and Mr. Jared Ryan Manuel in holy matrimony with Fathers Jude Halpin, Buddy Breaux and Bryce Sibley officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Chad and Andree’ Soileau of Ville Platte. The groom’s parents are Steve and Brenda Manuel of Eunice.
