Abbeville - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Danny Theall, the former Shirley Ann Robertson, age 62, will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in LeRoy, on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 10 a.m.with Father Greg Simien officiating.

The newest member of the Abbeville City Council was sworn in Tuesday evening at the regular meeting.

Rev. Wayne Landry’s wife, children and other family looked on as the new member took his place among the council.

On Sunday morning, officers of the Abbeville Police Department received a “shots fired” complaint from a bar on S. Miles St. Responding officers found that there had been a fight and recovered evidence of gunfire.
