Hurricane preparedness week proceeds

With hurricane season just around the corner it was a timely program for the Abbeville Rotarians Wednesday as they gathered for their weekly meeting.

St. Edmund holds eighth-grade ceremony

Forty-four St. Edmund eighth-grade students received their certificates of completion on Monday evening at St. Anthony Catholic Church.

The eighth-graders, along with Fr. Tom Voorhies, Leon Estes, assistant principal, family, and friends, met for the school’s annual eighth-grade awards ceremony.
