Breaux Bridge — Many of the several dozen citizens who attended U.S. Sen. David Vitter’s town hall meeting here last Tuesday, May 27, were vocal in their criticism of the U.S. Congress’s handling of illegal immigration, the high cost of prescription drugs, and of course the high cost of gasoline.

Chamber to host banquet Thursday

CROWLEY – The Crowley Chamber of Commerce will be holding their Annual Banquet on Thursday, May 29, at the Crowley Rice Festival Building.

Guests are invited to join at 6 p.m. to enjoy cocktails, hor d’oeuvres and live jazz music. A Silent Auction will also be held.
