I received a small brochure in the mail this weekend from the St. Martin Parish School Board with a picture of Superintendent Richard Lavergne on the front.

CHURCH POINT – Church Point will host the 26th Annual Buggy Festival on June 6-8 at City Park on Lougarre Street.

CROWLEY – Crowley Mayor Greg Jones is announcing the start of the City of Crowley’s Keep Crowley Clean Campaign for 2008.

Breaux Bridge — Many of the several dozen citizens who attended U.S. Sen. David Vitter’s town hall meeting here last Tuesday, May 27, were vocal in their criticism of the U.S. Congress’s handling of illegal immigration, the high cost of prescription drugs, and of course the high cost of gasoline.

CROWLEY – The Crowley Chamber of Commerce will be holding their Annual Banquet on Thursday, May 29, at the Crowley Rice Festival Building.

Guests are invited to join at 6 p.m. to enjoy cocktails, hor d’oeuvres and live jazz music. A Silent Auction will also be held.
