Mamou appoints Saucier’s wife to fill unexpired term on council

The Mamou Town Council, during a special meeting Thursday, May 8, appointed Helen Saucier to serve the remainder of her late husband, J.L. Saucier’s, term as District Four alderman.

Richard III age 27, of Grand Prairie, who passed away Monday, April 14, 2008, in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds sustained when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 4th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), located at Port Polk, La.
