VILLE PLATTE –When a game is played that has so much on the line, the expectation of watching a spectacular contest resonates in the air.

MAMOU – Coming into the game Friday, Mamou was riding a six game winning streak. A week ago the Demons beat Lake Arthur on the road 70­-56 and beat Kinder 78-­70 Tuesday night to get to 5-­0 in district.

VILLE PLATTE – After three games in District 5-3A play, the Ville Platte High Bulldogs found themselves with a 1-2 record; a predicament they had not been in for a very long time.
Pine Prairie on the other hand was 2-1 and riding high after a big win over Port Barre.

GRAND COTEAU – Coming into Monday night’s contest against the Academy of the Sacred Heart, the Sacred Heart Lady Trojans were hoping to keep pace with Notre Dame, the district 5-1A leader, and stay one game out of first place.

VILLE PLATTE –The Ville Platte High Lady Bulldogs took one step closer to another outright district championship with a 49-33 win over the Pine Prairie Lady Panthers.

The Mamou Demons and Lady Demons took to the court Tuesday to face off against Kinder in District 4-2A action.
Both the Demons and Lady Demons were looking to stay undefeated in district play.

From the very first day that Pine Prairie head coach Renotta Edwards held a basketball in her hands, she felt a passion for the game that has consumed a huge portion of her life.

VILLE PLATTE -- The Sacred Heart Lady Trojans used a tenacious defense and an opportunistic offense to stay in the hunt for the district 5-2A title with their 42-30 win over the David Thibodaux Lady Bulldogs here Friday night.
