Reserve — Since 2005, the Louisiana sugarcane industry has been buzzing about a new sugar refinery to be built under the partnership of the Cargill corporation and a cooperative of 700 Louisiana sugarcane farmers. Last week this idea finally came to fruition.

ESTHERWOOD – Mosquito Control Contractors, Inc. (MCCI) the contractor for Acadia Parish will sponsor a Source Reduction (Clean Up) Sweep (SRS) for artificial containers (sources) that breed mosquitoes. Such sources are tin cans, bottles, pots, pans, hollow plastics toys, tires, etc.
