St. Martinville – Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2008, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Floyd Raymond Blanchard, 71, who passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2008, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held for Matthews Thomas, 55, of Ville Platte, at Ninth Baptist Church in Ville Platte at 4 p.m., Monday, April 14. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
