CROWLEY – Today, Mayor Greg Jones announced the City of Crowley will host an informational session on the upcoming Downtown Street and Sidewalk Enhancement Project on Thursday, April 24, 2008 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Criminal Justice Center formerly Crowley City Hall.

According to Vermilion Parish Sheriff Mike Couvillon, the body of an apparent Homicide victim that was dumped in the Warren Ditch off of Tee Earl Rd. in Southern Vermilion Parish has been recovered, and two arrests have been made.

Through some of the more-rowdy City Council meetings of the past 15 months, Bob Morris has called for proper respect for the offices of mayor and city council member.

If you live in one of several South Louisiana cities, you may have noticed that your cable bill has recently increased.

It’s unfortunate that the largest cable company in our state continues to raise its rates, especially at a time when families are struggling to keep more money in their pockets.

If you know or have someone in a nursing home you may want to pass this along. I have personally been with persons like this and wondered how much they knew what was going on. We must love and cherish all in this predicament and realize that they are God’s children left in our care.
